Marvin Cohen passed away peacefully at his home in Sarasota, Florida, on November 20, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness. He was born on Valentine's Day in 1930, at Toledo Hospital to Jean and Ruben Cohen.
He was a devoted husband to the late Sonia "Sonny" Roman Cohen for 66 years. They met at Ohio State and became dedicated to each other and the Buckeyes for life. Most of his career was spent at Toledo Appliances, a wholesale distributor founded by his father. After his semi-retirement to Sarasota, he was a trusted advisor and administrator to the businesses started by his daughters.
He is survived by his daughters, Jill Cohen, Beth Cohen Raymond, Nan Cohen; and grandson, Seth Raymond.
Graveside services will be on December 9, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1502 W. Central Avenue, Toledo, Ohio. Lunch will follow at Temple Shomer Emunim, 6433 W. Sylvania Avenue, Sylvania, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to All Faiths Food Bank in Sarasota, Florida, at allfaithsfoodbank.org or the charity of your choosing.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. and from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the home of Aaron and Mara Kamat, Moreland Hills, Ohio.
