Patrick D. Holben

Pat Holben, age 79, passed away to his eternal home on February 19, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Pat was born on February 2, 1944 to Kenneth and Joan Holben, in Toledo, Ohio, where he resided until 1994. At that time the family moved to Temperance, MI where they still reside.

Pat attended St. Agnes grade school and DeVilbiss High. Pat served in the Army at Fort Knox. After, he earned his carpet apprenticeship and owned Carpet One. He then sold cars in the Toledo area. Pat played the keyboard in The Pat Holben Trio, which performed in many clubs in the area. The Trio recorded in Motown in 1964 and 1966. Songs recorded include, "My Mother is a Funky Chicken", "Keep on Trucking", "With You", "Getting Over You" and "Monkey Jerk".

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Joan; in-laws, Herbert and Joline Frey; sister-in-law, Joyce Holben. Surviving is his wife, Karen; brother, Dave Holben; sons, Patrick (Young-suk) Holben, John (Amanda) Holben; daughters, Kelly White (Mario Rossi), Barbara (Lance) Kokensparger and Jennifer (Scott) Carner;  grandchildren; Ryan and Aaron Holben, Delaney Holben, Maddy (Kyle) Fox, Jeffrey Hubbard, Brandon (Breanna) Hubbard, Brittany Hubbard (Jon Zilba), Drum White, Hali, Max and Landen Kokensparger and Allison Carner; great-grandchildren Elias and Parker Zilba, and Samuel Hubbard and his dog, Reagan.

Family and friends will be received at Thos. I. Wisniewski Funeral Home on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 2 p.m. - 8 p.m. and Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Toledo Humane Society, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or Cross in the Woods, Indian River, MI.
