Raymond "Ray" Lewandowski, 82, passed away on March 16, 2022 at home in Toledo, OH with his loving family by his side. He was born in Toledo, OH to the late Joseph and Angeline (Szymanski) Lewandowski. Ray worked as a salesman for over 45 years at Appliance Center. He was a longtime member of Little Flower Catholic Church and was very involved in the parish as an usher, bingo volunteer, and Men's Club member. Ray also held many leadership positions at Maumee Kiwanis. He was an avid sports fan, who enjoyed fishing and doing puzzles. He loved golfing, especially with the TMS league and Tom Prater, Mike Wray, and Loren Klasen, who witnessed his hole in one in 2014.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Alvin (Veronica) and Joseph (Evelyn); brother-in-law, Edward Ronau; and beloved dog, Pooh. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary "Sue" (Oswald) Lewandowski; his three daughters, Angela, Nicole, and Jami Rae; his sister, MaryJane Ronau; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Thos. I. Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 N. Reynolds Rd in Toledo on Monday, March 21 from 2-8:00 p.m. for a period of visitation, with a scripture service/Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Family and friends will be received at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22 at Little Flower Catholic Church, 5522 Dorr Street in Toledo with a mass following at 11:00 a.m. Family requests masks be worn. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. The Funeral Mass will be live streamed through Facebook or the Little Flower Catholic Church website at: littleflowertoledo.org
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to the Men's Club at Little Flower Church or the Athletic Department of St. Benedict School.
