Richard M. Day, born July 3, 1948, to Richard J. and Margaret (Wilhelm) Day, died suddenly on June 4th, 2022, after dealing with a host of health issues in the last few years.
Rick was always sitting in the background listening to the animated conversations of his late wife Kate. He will be remembered as a generous person willing to help others. Rick was the owner of the former Heating and Cooling Wholesale and made a lot of friends in the industry.
One of his loves was to plan thank-you business trips and family vacations. His business trips took him to Sanibel Island, Santa Cruz and Aruba. Family vacations found him in Frankenmuth, Disney World, and most important, the yearly trip to Aruba.
Rick was preceded in death by his wife Kate and his parents. He will be deeply missed by his two children, Rick Jr. and Rachel and all who knew him.
Visitation will take place on Friday, June 10th, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Thos. I. Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 North Reynolds Rd., Toledo. Family and friends will gather Saturday June 11th at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, 728 Parkside Blvd. Toledo, beginning at 9:00 a.m. with a Mass of Celebration at 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations can be made to the Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania in memory of his late wife Kate.
