Rita Hullstrung

Rita R. Hullstrung, age 88 years, passed away on June 25, 2026, at Hospice of NW Ohio, in Perrysburg. She was born on November 24, 1937, in Perrysburg, Ohio, to Gladys and Ray Hennan.

Rita had worked for many years in the Toledo Public School System as a secretary and also was a Union Steward. She loved traveling, especially on cruises, and enjoyed playing bocce ball. Rita was a longtime active member and volunteer at Epiphany Lutheran Church.

Preceded in death by her husband, Roger E. Hullstrung, Sr.; daughter, Kimberly Dent; granddaughter, Sarah Dent; son-in-law, Todd Wood; and triplet great-grandchildren, Luke, Lily, and Lance Shoemaker.

Surviving are her children, Pam Wood and Roger E., Jr; son-in-law, Dan Dent; nine grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., in the Thos. I. Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 North Reynolds Rd., Toledo, OH 43615, where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
