Robert Glen Strain

Robert "Bob" G. Strain, age 79, a lifelong resident of Toledo, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, in his home. He was born on December 29, 1941, to Robert J. and Irene K. (Grup) Strain.

Bob attended Rogers High School and married Sandra Eitniear on November 9, 1963. He was a carpenter, working for several construction companies in the Toledo area. Bob could always be found at his children's sporting events and later would attend his grandchildren's events.

Surviving is his wife, Sandra J. Strain; and their children, Cheryl (Mike Walterreit), Tracey (Gary Bower) and Todd (Tammy) Strain. Also surviving are grandchildren, Matthew (Candice) Strain, Jenna (Hunter) Donald, and Taylor (Joe) Boyer; great- grandchildren, Ava Strain, Amelia Boyer and Emmalyn Donald. Great-grandchild arriving next week, Colt Donald and arriving in November, Rosalie Boyer.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 1, 2021, from 2:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Thos. I. Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 North Reynolds Rd., Toledo, OH 43615, where the funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

The family would like to thank Bob's caregiver the last few months, Wanda Clark as well as the staff from Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their outstanding care and support.
