Robert James Moeltner

Robert James Moeltner, age 86, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away, January 26, 2021 at Promedica Ebeid Hospice. Bob was born in Union, New Jersey on June 12, 1934 to Walter and Marie (Froelich) Moeltner. Bob was an Air Force Veteran and was a past Commander of the Toledo DAV Chapter. He enjoyed home remodeling, woodworking and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

His career started as a laborer and he worked his way up to management at Westinghouse Elevator/Escalator Division. He also was employed at Art Iron Steel Fabricator as a Plant Manager, as well as a Production Line Supervisor at Jeep. He then spent ten years as an over the road truck driver and saw a great deal of the United States.

He is survived by his brother, Edmund (Michele) Moeltner and his 3 sons, Keith (Lauren) Moeltner, Ken (Linda) Moeltner and Kevin (Pamela) Moeltner; his 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Marie Moeltner; his brothers, John and Joseph; and sisters, Mary Ann and Helene. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

No public visitation or service will be held.
