Roger Brady peacefully went home to the Lord on September 27, 2024, to join his wife, Janina Habasinski Brady (August 14, 1995) and son, Michael Brady (June 11, 2023). Born on December 22, 1928, to William and Pearl Brady, Roger attended St. Teresa’s and Macomber High School, graduating in 1947 after learning the skills he would use as a machinist at Main Auto Supply for over 50 years and personal mechanic for countless friends, neighbors, and family.
Roger is survived by his loving family: daughter, Colleen Ann Henderly (Steven); daughter in-law, Cynthia (Tighe) Brady; grandsons, Michael James Henderly (Tracy Sweebe), Chad Alan Henderly (Christie Newton), Dustin J Henderly (Tiffiny Morel), and Paul Michael Brady (Kelly Manera); and great grandchildren, Caitlyn, Maddilynn, Allison, Emma, Gabbriella, Tyler,
Alexandra, and Mia; and dear friend, Barbara Secor.
Roger could be found on Saturdays rooting for his beloved Notre Dame Fighting Irish; on Sunday in Church at St. Jude’s or Little Flower; and throughout the week under the hood of a car, working on small engines, winding his many clocks, or manicuring his immaculate yard. Roger was a devoted Catholic and had an unwavering devotion to pray The Rosary daily and attend church service regu- larly. A generally reserved and frugal patriarch with a strong work ethic, Roger would greet you with an infectious smile, welcoming conversation, willingness to assist, and perhaps his opinion. Roger enjoyed a long and healthy life that defied father-time and served as a role model to his four grandsons.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in Little Flower Catholic Church, 5522 Dorr St., Toledo, OH. 43615, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. that morning until the time of service. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Little Flower Church.
