Sam Stein

Sam Stein, a native of Toledo and a longtime resident of the Boston, MA. area, died Monday July 20, 2026 in his residence at the age of 86 years. He was born on December 16, 1939 to Esther and Leonard Stein. He served in the United States Army in Korea and was a graduate of the University of Toledo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Donald Stein.
Surviving is his partner of 32 years, Ellen, daughters Mara and Karen, son Andrew and brother Bill (Susan) Stein.
A memorial service will be held later in Boston. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Congregation Etz Chayim in Toledo.
