With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Sarah Tovah Taub, who died August 24, 2026. Her life was a blessing to all who knew her, and her memory will be cherished by her family, friends, patients, colleagues, and the many members of the community whose lives she touched.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband, Ross Chaban; her beloved children, Erin, Nuri and Sean (Chris), Rosemary (Ido), and Ruth (Daniel); and her grandchildren, Jaden, Price, David, Sophie, and Klil.
Sarah will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and quiet strength. She offered comfort, connection, and kindness to those around her, and those who loved her will carry forward the lessons, memories, and love she leaves behind.
Her life reflected a deep devotion to family, friendship, faith, and community. Through daily acts of care, meaningful conversations, and the simple gift of being present, Sarah made a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know her.
As a family practice physician for more than 40 years, Sarah cared for multiple generations of families. Her compassion, dedication, and steady presence made her deeply loved by her patients and respected by those who worked alongside her.
As her loved ones gather in mourning, they also gather in gratitude for the time they shared with Sarah, the love she gave, and the enduring place she will hold in their hearts. May her memory be a blessing.
Funeral services will be held at Temple Shomer Emunim in Sylvania, Ohio, on Wednesday August 26, 2026 at 10:30 am. Those that wish to live stream the service can at Templese.com/Live
Interment will immediately follow the Temple ceremony at Woodlawn Cemetery on Central Avenue.
