On Monday, April 12th, 2021, Teena J. Liber (Schwartz) passed away at the age of 70 at her home in Toledo, Ohio.
Born on January 31st, 1951 to Nathan and Dorothy Schwartz (of blessed memory) and raised in Toledo, Ohio, with her beloved sister, Eileen Sharff (Schwartz). Teena attended the University of Toledo for her undergraduate degree. She then earned a Masters of Speech and Language Pathology from Bowling Green State University. Teena was a speech and language therapist and worked at The Toledo Hospital for many years. Her retirement coincided with the birth of her first granddaughter, Elizabeth Liber.
Married to David A. Liber for 50 years, they proudly raised two children Jason (Tricia) and Amanda Doblin (Jeff). She was a loving grandmother of seven, Elizabeth, Conner, Caroline, and Andrew Liber and Evan, Avery, and Cadence Doblin.
Teena loved her friends, pets, was an avid reader, television watcher, and loved the sunshine and the beach. Teena began a tradition over the Thanksgiving holiday of taking her children and grandchildren on a beach vacation to make memories instead of cooking a turkey dinner.
A private service will be held on Thursday, April 13th at 2:30 p.m. Shiva will be at the home of Jason and Tricia Liber on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Toledo Humane Society, The Honor Flight Network, or The Parkinson's Foundation.
