Theodore Joseph Stachowiak Obituary

Theodore Joseph “Ted” Stachowiak, age 73, of Toledo, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Toledo Hospital with his wife and daughter by his side.

He was born on October 29, 1947 to Leon and Regina “Virgie” (Rosinski) Stachowiak in Toledo. Ted attended DeVilbiss High School and graduated from Owens Community College with an Associate Degree. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Ted worked many years at DeVilbiss Manufacturing and most recently he was a metrologist at New Mather Metals, Inc.

Ted was a lifelong member of the NRA and NSCA Sporting Clays; the true sportsman that he was, he loved being outdoors, hunting by his little cabin in West Branch, Michigan. Many memories and trips were made on his motorcycle, a passion he had since he was 15 years old, including two trips to Sturgis.

His family will remember him for his sense of humor that was unmatched, even in his sickest days he remained upbeat and jovial to those around him. Ted was also a family man; working hard to provide for his loving wife of 49 years, Mary (Kraft) Stachowiak and his daughter, Regina.  Other than his full head of thick hair, he was most proud of his grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to attend soccer games, dance competitions and recitals.

He is survived by his wife, Mary (Kraft) Stachowiak; daughter, Regina (Joel) Bolbach; grandchildren, Isabella and Zachary Bolbach; brother- in-law  Al (Sue) Kraft; many nieces and nephews; his beloved furry companion, Hellen.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald and Raymond Stachowiak; best buddy, Hahns.

With Ted being a private, humble and hard working family man; his wishes were honored by his family. A Celebration of Life will be announced in the future.

Ted’s wife and daughter would like to specially thank Chika and Kris from Toledo Hospital – 9th floor ICU for going the extra mile and providing excellent care.

If donations are desired the family asks that Wounded Warrior Project and Natures Nursery are considered.
