Velma E. (Johnson) Green

Velma E. Green, age 85, formerly of South Toledo, died Monday September 4, 2023, at the Lakes of Monclova. She was born on December 21, 1937, in Wise, Virginia, to Lovejoy and Edna (Perry) Johnson. Velma was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker and devoted many hours doing volunteer work at Little Flower Catholic Parish, where she and her husband Jim were longtime members. 

Surviving is her husband, James E; and their children, Ken (Tammie), Terry (Michelle) and Debi (Christopher) Baker; eight grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren, and niece, Betty Kime. 

Preceded in death by brother, Bill Mack; and sisters, Betty Cimerman, Jean Friesner and Kathryn Mead. 

Services will be held on Saturday, September 9, at 11:00 a.m. in the Thos. I. Wisniewski Funeral Home 2426 N. Reynolds Rd. Toledo, OH. 43615 where the family will receive guests beginning at 9:30 a.m. that morning. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. 

Memorial donations are suggested to Little Flower Catholic Church.
