Virginia P. (Borysiak) Pojedynski

Virginia P. (Borysiak) Pojedynski, age 90, joined her husband John in heaven on November 24, 2021. She was born on March 16, 1931 in Toledo to Matthew and Bertha (Horoszewski) Borysiak. Virginia grew up in North Toledo and married John Pojedynski on August 26, 1950 at St. Hedwig Catholic Church. She was very involved in her parish and was most proud of her family, religion and Polish heritage. She loved being a Busia.

Virginia lived the last seven and a half years at Genacross of Wolf Creek where she found comfort in saying the Rosary, visits by therapy dogs, Polish music and her many friends she made there.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John in 2004 and her brother Richard Borysiak.

Surviving are her children, Diane Pojedynski, David Pojedynski, Dale (Karen) Pojedynski and Sandy (Paul) Mocek; also surviving are her grandchildren, Matthew Mocek and Andrew Mocek(Katherine Nejedlo), brother Walter Borysiak and granddog Sammie.

The family will receive friends on Sunday November 28, 2021 from 2:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Thos. I. Wisniewski Funeral Home 2426 North Reynolds Rd. Toledo, OH. 43615 where the Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday November 29 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church where the family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Genacross of Wolf Creek and Hospice of NW Ohio for their loving care of Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Genacross at Wolf Creek or the Toledo Humane Society.
