Vivian Toby Loeb, age 86, formerly of Toledo and a resident of Mason, Ohio died Sunday March 19, 2023 in Christ Hospital, Cincinnati Ohio. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 10, 1936 to Charles and Lillian (Isaacson) Moses. Vivian had a deep love for education and continuous learning that included earning her bachelors degree in education from the University of Toledo and a Masters degree in psychology at the University of Michigan. She taught elementary school throughout her career which included focus on special education in her later years of teaching. She also worked at Dayton Children's Hospital in the cardiology department.
Her biggest joys were her husband, Ernie who she was married to for 62 years, her children, grandchildren, sisters and close friends which she loved to spend time with and always looked forward to holidays and family gatherings. She loved her grandchildren, Hank, Sydney and Carson so much. She was so incredibly proud of all three of them and spent time attending their school activities, cross country meets, soccer games of just hanging out and baking with them.
She also enjoyed reading, painting and knitting. She knitted beautiful blankets, hats and scarves for her loved ones that she created with the knitting group at the senior center.
She is survived by her husband Ernest and their children, Lenny (Debbie) Loeb, Steve Loeb and Kim (Brad) Kennedy; sister Arlene Bachman and grandchildren, Hank, Sydney and Carson.
Services and interment will be held on Wednesday March 22, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Beth Shalom Cemetery, Oregon, Ohio.
