Zela Jane (Oster) Weaver

Jane Weaver was born Zela Jane Oster on June 26, 1932 to Grace and Harry Oster in Toledo, Ohio. She died peacefully in Flower Hospital, Sylvania, Ohio surrounded by her loving family on May 6, 2021. Jane graduated from Maumee High School in 1950. She went on to marry Lloyd R. Weaver on June 28, 1952. Lloyd and Jane resided in Toledo where they raised their two daughters.

Jane loved to play bingo, board games and cards (especially the game peanuts.) She loved to bird watch, play golf, and watch auto racing. She was an avid bowler. She and Lloyd liked to travel, the most memorable trip was when they took their race cars to Australia and New Zealand to race in 1980. Jane enjoyed the 4th of July and hosted the Oster family reunion on many occasions. She was beloved by her nieces and nephews whom she opened her heart and home to often.

In retirement, Jane enjoyed splitting time between her home in Florida and spending time with her family on Barton Lake in Indiana. She embraced technology and always had a computer and loved to keep up with her family and friends on Facebook. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jane is survived by her daughters, Linda Herr and Peggy (Jeff) Sullivan; her grandchildren, Tessa (Ben) Forrester, Brian (Nicole) Herr, Jeffrey (Heather) Sullivan, Elizabeth (Corey) Smith, Joseph Herr, Michael Herr; and 11 great- grandchildren. Jane is also survived by her adoring twin sister, Joan Swartz; and many nieces, nephews whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd R. Weaver; her parents; brothers, Dick, Bill and Jack Oster; and great-grandson, Charlie Smith.
